Pets and service animalsTo United Kingdom: no animals of any kind are accepted on flights going to or connecting in the United Kingdom, with the exception of Service Animals (conditions apply – see below). Service animalsWe will be pleased to welcome on board certified service animals that are travelling with a person with a disability. However, please note that the United Kingdom will only allow entry through certain airports and extensive pre-flight arrangements and paperwork must be completed well before the intended date of travel (months before in some cases). Please contact us for details. When departing from the United Kingdom, service animals will be accepted from any airport to Canada, upon presentation of the proper documentation. Before you goPlease contact us well in advance of travel to discuss the most appropriate arrangements for your trip, including seating and space required for you and your service animal, and any destination specific advanced requirements. To ensure seating with sufficient floor space for the animal, we strongly recommend that you select your seat by calling us at 00 800 AT EUROPE (00800 2838 7673). During the discussion with our agent, we can best assign the most appropriate seating and space for you and your service animal. We ask that you contact us as soon as you have booked your flight, but at minimum, 48 hours before your flight. All efforts will be made to honour requests received after that time. There is no cost to you for selected seating or for your certified service animal to accompany you in the cabin. Service animals will not be carried unless proper permits are obtained for entry into the countries of transit or final destination, and such permits are presented prior to commencement of travel. Passengers will also be asked to present the training certificate prior to travel. At the airportWhen departing, an Air Transat agent or Airport agent will be pleased to assist you with:
